Garbage truck tumbles almost 100 feet off Interstate 95 in Miami


The driver of a dump truck is in genuine condition after the vehicle tipped over on Interstate 95 in Miami on Monday and fell very nearly 100 feet off the expressway span onto a street underneath. 

The truck was voyaging southbound on the interstate when it went over the blockade and fell around 5p.m., WSVN-TV reported. 

"A City of Miami strong waste truck was voyaging southbound on I-95 going onto the Southwest Seventh Street exit and for reasons unknown, it wound up falling off of the parkway and fell, likely around 100 feet down to the parking garage of José Martí Park," Miami Fire Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll told WSVN. "Presently fortunately - this park is generally loaded with a great deal of children - there was no one harmed on the ground." 

Footage from news helicopters over the scene demonstrated flotsam and jetsam on the ground and on stopped autos underneath. 

"We have reports that the driver was outside of the vehicle when we arrived, so that means that that is perhaps a few genuine wounds here," Carroll told WSVN, "yet he was transported to Ryder Trauma Center, and we comprehend that he is alive and is attempting to talk about what happened, which are extremely positive signs." 

Carroll included that the mishap could have had a much more regrettable result, because of a recreation center and swimming pool adjacent.
